A great task for helping delegates engage with each other - especially LISTENING and understanding what DEBATING really is (or should be) in a workplace.
"When the 'what's the point?' moments hit, ask yourself ..........
..........'what IS the point?' Why ARE you doing what you're doing? !"
Tutors then collate and display the results and lead a structured debate to (try to!) achieve a unanimous agreement between teams on the whole group’s priorities.
per kit tailor-made Part 1 briefs / pro formas of the 30 available items for individual completion
a tailor-made tutor's brief with full instructions
tailor-made team briefs for Part 2 (and if required Part 3) copies of "Share, Care, Communicate" and the laminated "Teamwork Behaviour Checklist"; 2 copies of "Leadership at WORK"
“Immediately after a meeting ask yourself... ‘if they are talking about me now, WHAT ARE THEY SAYING ABOUT ME?’ ” !
In Part 1 individuals choose 12 out of 30 items to take with them on their mission to the moon! Teams are then selected and each team is briefed to agree unanimously on 12 items to take - and prioritise them.
As with most of our Tasks, your Learning Objectives and profile of group will influence our recommendations. By having at least TWO team discussions (with changing teams each time) you can help people explore the psychologies of identifying with a team and feeling loyalty (even only having been in the team for a few minutes!)
