This task is about Planning for PROFIT. Teams receive a price list for planks, ropes and barrels/drums and a list of the rewards available - for building a gantry/jetty out into water with payout (gross profit) based on:

"When the 'what's the point?' moments hit, ask yourself ..........

..........'what IS the point?' Why ARE you doing what you're doing? !"

Tailor Made Briefs for defined target groups

  • the total length and stability of the structure

  • time taken - the quicker, the greater reward

  • the number of team members who repeat the success of the first

What's In The Box - £300 including tailor-making to group

Measurement is by NET PROFIT

Complexity of the Planning Stage, time constraints, simplicity of the price lists and options for materials, can all be tailor-made to the target teams. We ask the right questions about a client's goals then prepare drafts for approval.

Teamwork and/or Leadership Challenges

Planning for PROFIT. Strategic planning, risk taking, agreeing SHARED OBJECTIVES - all taking ownership of the plan for better or for worse! Allocations of roles, camaraderie, effective use of time.

  • AFTER CONSULTATION, a tailor-made team brief, including forecasting forms

  • a tutor's brief with full instructions and explanations and monitoring and reconciliation forms

  • 12 copies of "Share, Care, Communicate" and the laminated "Teamwork Behaviour Checklist"; two copies of "Leadership at WORK"

"Creativity is a discipline ... DECIDE to be creative"

  • NB depending on selected venue we can either source materials/equipment at cost for clients or advise on sourcing

There are 2 separate stages - Planning and Building, with strict time limits to both. In the Planning Stage teams must discuss and agree their plan, BUY the equipment they need and then forecast their outcome
