As the name implies this is a 3 part task. Teams are issued with a "treasure map" with clues which lead them to 3 different locations where they take "selfie" photos to prove they have arrived. They then, on their return, can exchange their selfies for ....  FOOD!

Tailor Made Briefs for defined target groups

This task can be made easier or more challenging - difficulty of the treasure hunt clues - issue with firelighters, etc. So a client's training objectives for their group can easily be catered for. It is also a great LEADERSHIP exercise

Teamwork and/or Leadership Challenges

A very popular and enjoyable task - even when it's raining! But teams have to be organised, with everyone knowing what everyone is doing; with contingency plans - and how to communicate is someone gets lost on the treasure hunt? So it is also a very challenging task.

  • per team: an accurate location map; a treasure map with cryptic clues, string and scissors; a stand for their fire, matches and advice on firelighting.

  • a tailor-made tutor's brief with full instructions

  • tailor-made team briefs; copies of "Share, Care, Communicate" and the laminated "Teamwork Behaviour Checklist"; 2 copies of "Leadership at WORK"

"LISTENING is good. Pretending to listen is bad !"

By the time of their return other delegated team members should have a roaring fire going - they are issued with matches!

Then, using only the ingredients they have acquired through their treasure hunt, they have to cook a gourmet meal!

We found the food, now let's cook it! This is almost good enough to eat!

Our regular venue is Great Tower Scout Camp, Windermere, Lake District, where we book accommodation (self catering chalets) and deliver the task early evening, so delegates can enjoy sitting round the camp fire as long as they like. We are always happy to organise this or another similar venues for clients
